BlueRoom Simulations and the Power of the Global Supply Chain
At the Avalon Airshow 2025, Ben Krynski, CEO of BlueRoom Simulations, took the stage to share the company’s journey through the Global Supply Chain program — a journey that began in 2021 at Pitch to the Primes during the Land Forces expo and has since led to international contracts, innovative collaborations, and exponential growth.
In 2021, BlueRoom Simulations was still an idea, eager to break into the defence sector. Attending Pitch to the Primes was a turning point. It was there that Krynski and his team began to understand how Australia’s primes operate, how to engage with them, and most importantly, that the Global Supply Chain is not just about procurement — it’s about people. A team of dedicated individuals, both within the primes and across the wider defence industry, working together to help Australian businesses succeed, in whatever form that success may take.
That success has taken many forms for BlueRoom.
Direct engagement with THALES led to a landmark contract: the creation of a fully digital replica of the Bushmaster Ambulance, supporting an export deal into the Netherlands. It was a prime example of Australian innovation scaling internationally through strong, trusted partnerships.
Collaborations with other primes have sparked new concepts, prototypes, and potential sales pipelines into various countries — each one a testament to the open, collaborative approach of Australia’s defence primes and the Global Supply Chain framework that connects them.
Krynski was clear in his message at Avalon: the support from the Primes via the Commonwealth Global Supply Chain has been genuine, impactful, and invaluable. From early-stage guidance to commercial opportunities, their willingness to engage with small businesses like BlueRoom Simulations has directly contributed to innovation, capability uplift, and sovereign industry growth.
As BlueRoom continues to design and deliver world-class simulation technology from its base in Melbourne, it does so with the confidence that it’s part of a global team — one that values partnership, innovation, and the future of Australian defence industry.
